F.A.Q.
1. Do I need to book well in advance?
No. Your subscription provides access to an online calendar, allowing you to check the boat’s availability in real time and easily plan your days out on the water.
Subject to availability, you can book your boat even on short notice.
2. If I cancel a booking, do I lose a day from my subscription?
No, provided that you cancel your booking at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure. The cancelled day will then be automatically credited back to your balance of available days.
In the event of a cancellation due to *force majeure* or weather conditions that make safe navigation impossible, your day will also be credited back to you, even if the decision is made at the last minute.
In all cases, safety remains the top priority, and the final decision regarding sailing conditions rests with the captain.
3. Do I need to take out personal insurance to use the boat?
No. The boat is covered by insurance tailored to its use, much like in a traditional rental arrangement.
The terms and limits of coverage remain those stipulated in the boat’s insurance policy and the conditions of your subscription.
4. What is included in the subscription price?
Your subscription includes the provision of the boat, as well as the primary costs associated with its ownership and upkeep: insurance, routine servicing, maintenance, and a mooring berth.
This allows you to enjoy the boat without having to deal with the typical burdens of ownership and operation.
5. Is fuel included?
No. You are responsible for the cost of the fuel consumed during your trips.
This way, you only pay for what you actually use, based on your sailing itinerary.
6. What should I do after each use of the boat?
Nothing. Our team handles preparing the boat before your arrival, as well as cleaning it after each use.
The purpose of our subscription service is precisely to allow you to enjoy the boat without having to deal with the operational demands that come with it.
7. Can the boat pick me up at a port other than its home port?
Yes. Subject to operational feasibility and navigation conditions, we can arrange for the boat to be made available at a different port.
You will be responsible for all fuel costs incurred during the delivery to the requested location and, where applicable, the return trip.
8. Can I choose my crew?
We work exclusively with captains and crews whom we know and have selected for their professionalism, experience, and familiarity with the vessel.
This allows us to ensure a consistent level of safety, quality of service, and technical knowledge of the yacht for every one of your voyages.
9. Can I make the boat available to my guests without being present on board?
Yes. You may allow your loved ones, family, or guests to enjoy the boat without necessarily being on board yourself.
The day used will simply be deducted from your credit of days, under the same terms and conditions as if you were personally on board.
10. How is my day credit used?
We offer various plans, allowing you to tailor your subscription to your own sailing pace.
Your plan may include either a monthly renewable allowance of days or a total, fixed allowance valid for the entire duration of your subscription—which you can use as you wish, subject to a maximum number of days that can be booked each month.
The specific terms and conditions are defined at the time you sign up for your subscription.
11. What happens if I do not use all of my days?
Days included in your subscription must be used during its validity period.
Any days remaining unused by the subscription’s expiration date are considered consumed and cannot be carried over beyond that period, unless otherwise specified in your particular plan.
12. Can I exceed the number of days included in my subscription?
Depending on the package selected and the boat’s availability, additional days may be offered.
Our team will be happy to provide you with the terms and rates applicable to these extra days.
13. Can I use my days whenever I wish?
You can organize your days according to your needs directly via the booking calendar, subject to boat availability and any monthly limits stipulated by your chosen plan.
This flexibility allows you to enjoy the boat at your own pace, while benefiting from a service fully managed by Yachtside Monaco.
